TVET Coordinator

CESVI IN LEBANON

Cesvi has been active in Lebanon since 2001 in different areas: North, South and Mount Lebanon, Nabatieh and Beirut. Funded by institutional donors and private foundations, Cesvi's projects cover a broad range of sectors - such as livelihoods, food security and emergency assistance ' all with a crosscutting focus on protection. Since 2013 Cesvi has been responding to the spillover of the Syrian Crisis, paying special attention to Livelihood and Protection sectors, in close collaboration with local authorities, partners, CSOs, international agencies and other stakeholders.

Overall responsibilities:

The TVET Coordinator, under the supervision of Cesvi’s Livelihood Program Coordinator, will be in charge of managing and monitoring all TVET and internship activities aimed at improving technical and soft skills of targeted beneficiaries, and ultimately increasing livelihood and employment opportunities.

Assignment and tasks:

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement TVET activities according to the Livelihood Department approach and methodologies and in compliance with the administrative, logistical and communication procedures;
  • Ensure the operational implementation of work plans, setting clear targets and activity plans for each training;
  • Ensure that courses, both theoretical and practical, meet quality standards, working closely with the program team;
  • Work closely with TVET trainers to ensure a timely and effective performance as well as the adoption of the highest standards to their pedagogical and technical approaches;
  • Develop monitoring plans and ensure that adequate monitoring tools are in place for TVET courses and internships, in close collaboration with the M&E Department. Conduct regular monitoring field visits and draft reports;
  • Coordinate with projects' partners to map private companies and identify available internship opportunities;
  • Organize internships in collaboration with the private sector;
  • Plan and supervise the effective implementation of internship schedules;
  • Draft narrative reports, including analysis of quantitative data, as per the project annual work-plan;
  • Keep record of the expenditures and forecast in collaboration with the country administrator
  • Data collection and analysis through different M&E tools (Focus Group discussions, surveys, mapping exercises, database, etc.)
  • Properly file all means of verification and supporting documents (both in hardcopies and electronically);
  • Perform any other relevant duties as required.

Required Competencies:

  • Degree in in social science, management, economics, international development, or other relevant field;
  • At least 2 years' post qualification experience in livelihood and vocational training activities;
  • Very flexible and with a positive attitude;
  • Good team player and proactive attitude in problem solving;
  • Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office programmes such as Word, Excel;
  • Languages: Native Arabic speaker and Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken)
  • Driving license.
