Within the framework of project ERA1- Marine Ecosystem Recovery through Artificial Reef supported by the Ministry of Environment and the European Union, the Friends of Nature is creating artificial reef structures to be installed in a marine environment. Artificial reefs (AR) have been globally developed to serve a throng of objectives from protection of marine habitats, to production, leisure, tourism, attractions, fisheries, and many others. In this context, the Friends of Nature is opening a position for a Technical Project Manager.
The technical project manager will be responsible to:
- provide technical contributions in line with the project plan and guidelines,
- work closely with project team and other relevant departments,
- mainstream project activities
- organize for on artificial reef production
- organize for artificial reef installation
- engage in surveys of marine biodiversity and marine site topography,
- coordinate with diversity of stakeholders and maintain record of all interactions
- develop awareness spreading material for diversity of stakeholders
- organize awareness building events
- develop site monitoring program
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- University graduate MS level in the field of marine science or any relevant science field with experience in the marine environment.
COMPETENCIES
- Diving skills and certification
- Writing and reporting experience
- Experience in research, marine biodiversity and marine projects
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
- good interpersonal, networking, and facilitation skills
