Job Purpose:
To design and implement effective monitoring and evaluation framework and tools to measure the effectiveness of Teach For Lebanon Fellowship program and to provide feedback and support to program teams to strengthen recruitment, selection, training, fellow support and alumni activities.
Data collection, analysis, and learning activities to help ensure accountability and efficiency from start to finish for all programs and projects, both new and established throughout TFL.
The M&E Specialist will work closely with Program teams to assess field conditions, support capacity building initiatives, and facilitate the collection of quality data.
Key Responsibilities:
Primarily responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Lead the evolution of the existing evaluation framework based on Teach For Lebanon’s Theory of change and strategic vision working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Design and develop tools aligned to the strategic M&E framework using both quantitative and qualitative approaches to measure to short- and long-term impact of our work on our students, classrooms, community (local and national), Fellows and Alumni.
- Lead the implementation of the monitoring and evaluation activities – including collection, compilation, documentation.
- Help to strengthen a MEL culture across TFL ensuring data is at the heart of decision making.
- Collaborate with different teams – mainly recruitment, training, and alumni leadership to design internal monitoring and evaluation mechanisms that feed into the organization’s larger M&E framework.
- Provide relevant training to the managers on M&E – designing, implementing, compiling and analyzing to draw relevant learnings.
- Suggest ways to facilitate data collection and the flow of data within Program field teams.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing data collection and management systems and propose solutions
- Create data visualizations
- Perform regular field visits to ensure the quality of data collected by Programs and to verify the accuracy of reported data.
- Support the CEO to ensure that donor, Board, partner, and Senior Management data queries are addressed in an accurate and timely triangulated and well-analyzed manner.
Candidate Requirement:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree is preferred in the relevant major of studies.
- Demonstrates ability and experience in designing and implementing evaluation framework, log frames, data analysis.
- Strong in Critical, logical and analytical thinking.
- Ability to lead as well as coach the rest of the team based on TFL’s values of mutual respect and responsibility.
- High willingness and ability to quickly learn different data visualization tools, modules, framework, and software.
- Strong written communication skills in both Arabic and English required.
- Willingness to travel within Lebanon, this position requires regular visits to Fellow’s schools in rural areas across Lebanon.
