Electronic Technician ( BT or TS in Electronics )

- Main Tasks include : 

• Keep up to date with new technologies and inform head of section of any arising opportunities to enhance the medical maintenance services
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance activities according to hospital and section’s standards and procedures
• Perform electrical safety inspections on medical equipment using proper test equipment
• Ensure that all medical equipment are properly maintained and documented
• Modify and adapt medical equipment according to hospital needs and Head of Section recommendations
• Perform Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities according to related procedures
• Repair medical equipment in coordination with team members
• Respond to after working hours emergency calls
• Record all performed maintenance activities (time of call, department, malfunctioning case, and solution provided…)
• Perform quality assurance rounds according to Head of Section recommendations
• Provide recommendations to minimize hazard risks related to the use of medical equipment
• Assist with pre-purchase evaluations of equipment when requested by Head of Section
• Troubleshoot, calibrate and maintain hospital medical equipment
• Ensure proper maintenance of section tools and equipment
• Transfer acquired knowledge from diverse training activities to all team members
• Train and provide support to all student interns
• Perform additional related duties as requested by Head of Section

• Office Job
• Work requires staying overtime to ensure accomplishment of project in due time
• Job requires daily rounds on medical departments to ensure proper functioning of equipment
• Job requires answering after working hours emergency calls related to equipment malfunctioning

Education

• BT or TS in electronics

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the field

Required Language

• Arabic & English
