CARE International in Lebanon (CiL) is part of a regional response to the Syrian Crisis to meet the immediate and most urgent needs of those who have fled Syria and provide support to local vulnerable host populations. CARE’s programs are also designed to meet longer term needs. Working with partners in WASH, Shelter, Protection, Livelihoods and economic opportunities in the North, South, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon Governorates CARE has a special emphasis on working with women and girls.
CARE is implementing a capacity building and livelihood community-based agriculture project that seeks to address critical capacity gaps along targeted value chains at both the individual, communal and institutional levels This position is responsible for the outreach, implementation, follow up, and quality maintenance for the Agricultural Training activities, VT, OJT, Apprenticeships, and GMP according to donor’s request with the support of the team.

Education & Certification:
BS in computer science, Programming, or related majors
Minimum Education Level:
Vocational Degree, Bachelor degree, or equivalent
Proven Experience:
• At least 6 months’ experience working with an INGO, UN, local organizations and/or donor community in the domain of Livelihoods.
• Familiarity with data collection and analysis
• Having experience in Information management or M&E field
IT / Software / Technical Skills:
Familiarity with MS Office software, such as Excel (Macro level)
Knowledge of Microsoft Access is a plus

Detailed Responsibilities & Tasks
Assessments and Database Intern
- Conduct Baseline-Endline assessments
- Data entry capacity and Strong track record of successful data analysis models and procedures;
- Advanced knowledge of database structure and theory;
- Under the direct supervision of Project Manager assist technical team in drafting database trackers for participants, attendances, training sessions, and other operational subjects.
- Familiar with reporting tools
- Responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a database
- Plans and implements backup and recovery of the database (all data is retrievable in an emergency)
- writes database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary
- Working with consultants and M&E team to carry out surveys and studies planning purposes or evaluating project effects and impacts.
- Mapping all Value Chain actors / members and focus groups in order to identify the players in the ecosystem, challenges, and possible solutions.
- Prepare, organize and coordinate all assessments and monitoring processes and tools in line with donor requirements and CIL standards, as well as consolidate information from all parts of Lebanon.
