BLN COORDINATOR

  • Coordinate with the livelihood sector Project Managers for the follow up of the BLN curricula implementation in accordance with AVSI and MEHE procedures and rules;
  • Be informed about new teaching methodologies and pedagogical approaches in order to innovate the way of teaching in the BLN classes;
  • Oversee the elaboration of any kind of new materials to be developed for the BLN activities;
  • Assess the needs in term of capacity building of the BLN officers/teachers and organize the adequate training referring to the education specialist/capacity building manager.
  • Provide effective guidance and technical assistance to BLN officers, especially to those in need of improvement of performance
  • Conduct regularly scheduled staff meetings to discuss and resolve staff and program issues and concerns.
  • Ensure the quality implementation of the BLN program according to the new MEHE S.O.P.
  • Coordinate and supervise field staff and finalize with the field team the operational work plans, setting clear targets and activity plans per center.
  • Assist in the recruitment, including preparation of contracts, training and supervision of teachers;
  • Maintain a constant contact with the field in order to assess the implementation of activities and have a regular feedback on teachers’ quality of work and behaviors.
  • Develop comprehensive evaluation and monitoring tools to measure the impact of BLN sessions on students’ development;
  • Provide reports along the year to the Project coordinator/M&E department including quantitative data and full descriptive narrative as per the project annual work plan;
  • Ensure the success of the BLN courses respecting logistical, administrative and communication processes aligned with donor’s rules and requirements
  • Perform any other relevant duties as required.
