Logistics and Procurement Assistant

 Responsibilities:

1.           Procurement

  • Drawing up a plan for the purchase of equipment, services and supplies
  • Safeguarding the assets including the maintenance of the fixed asset register
  • Managing the inventories of the products or services
  • Responsible for the purchase of products and services in the ADRA Lebanon
  • Ensuring the best products or services after reviewing and analysing all options with high transparency standards
  • Ensuring a fair selection of quality vendors and service providers, and fairness and transparency in the awarding of all contracts
  • Developing good relations with suppliers demands great negotiation skills
  • Maintaining accurate records of purchases and pricing
  • Manage supply contracts, ensure compliance to contractual terms by all parties, and that any arising disputes/claims are resolved equitably and speedily

2.         Logistics

  • Ensure safe and efficient transport of staff and materials/goods
  • Drive project staff to the field and meet visitors at the airport when requested.
  • Assist project staff in the distribution.
  • Prepare, check and share plans, records and reports as required
  • Provide logistical support for project activities; including transport for staff, donor visits, meetings, etc.
  • Supervise directly the general maintenance and installation of equipment and materials of the office and ADRA guest houses;
  • Do regular inventory (at least twice a year)
  • Review vehicle logbook and create a monthly report

 

Qualifications Required:

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience working in the related field.
  • Driver license with good driving skills
  • Good typing speed in Arabic and English. Excellent level of computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • A person who is familiar with local vendors and service providers in Beirut.
  • Positive and professional attitude, able to organize, maintain composure and prioritize work under pressure, flexible working hours when necessary.
  • Able to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, listening and communication skills
  • Good written and oral English skills
