MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Field MEAL activities coordination

70%

Lead on the adequate implementation of Food Security Outcome Monitoring’s data collection (Coordinate with donor for sampling, coordinate data collection dates with beneficiaries, manage the casual workers including training and support during data collection, conduct spot checks during data collection, ensure timely submission to donor of high quality data)

Lead on the adequate implementation of WFP’s process monitoring (Coordinate with donor for sampling, coordinate data collection dates with beneficiaries, manage the casual workers including training and support during data collection, conduct spot checks during data collection, ensure timely submission to donor of high quality data)

Lead on the adequate implementation of qualitative data collection (conduct qualitative data collection based on agreed plan with donor, lead on data transcription, conduct data analysis and report write up, follow up on logistics for data collection)

Data collection is completed on time and quality standards are ensured

Assessment and Evaluation

Support the ELA coordinator in completing Baseline report, PIM, Evaluation report (support in setting the design, methodology, data collection and analysis, and report write up)

Support ELA coordinator in generating lessons learned, and actionable recommendations (Support in various reflection events, and support in data provision for drafting of recommendations, etc.)

Assessment and evaluations are completed on time with high quality

Recommendations are used by the different departments and field and NO level

Other tasks and responsibilities

10%

Attend internal and external meetings relevant to assigned sector

Attend internal and external training, workshops, events, etc.

Follow up on HR and financial related matters for casual workers (Payment Orders, ,…), and conduct performance agreement and review with direct supervisor

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, International Development Studies, Community Development or any relevant professional qualification
  2. Good contextual knowledge of local issues, community priorities and social and cultural constraints and realities
  3. Ability to design and execute a facilitation process with appropriate and relevant facilitation tools
  4. Evidence of understanding, and commitment to WV's Ministry Framework, the vision, mission, core values and guiding principles
  5. A thorough knowledge & understanding of MEAL activities and their implementation
  6. Ability to recognize, capture and manage MEAL resources and learning effectively
  7. Ability to use MEAL resources and tools effectively
  8. Good data management skills
  9. Good knowledge of information presentation techniques (graphing, charting, tabling etc.) and interpreting them
  10. Evidence of, and commitment to, on-going personal and professional development
  11. High level communications skills
  12. Ability to build positive relationships in a cross cultural environment
  13. Ability to attend and participate in capacity building opportunities, trainings and meetings locally and internationally as required by the organization.
  14. Ability to relocate geographically for a duration required by the organization to build staff capacity and provide continuous support.
  15. Ability to train diverse participants with integrity respect and humility
  16. Minimum two years experience of working in a relief or development agency (preferably in the monitoring and evaluation domain)
  17. At least two years of relevant experience in design and implementation of MEAL systems; including qualitative and quantitative approaches to assessment and monitoring.
  18. A full commitment to World Vision’s core values and humanitarian mandate
  19. Adherence to World Vision Child Protection, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest policies.
  20. Full adherence to security protocols
  21. Fluency in speaking English and Arabic is required
  22. Basic working knowledge of MS Office is required
