Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen;
- Vast knowledge of International and Lebanese cuisines;
- Creativity: Knowledge of ingredients and how to use them in a creative way;
- Monitors inventory and report items that need to be reordered;
- Manages kitchen staff and delegates tasks related to meal preparation, cooking and delivering food to diners in a timely manner;
- Prepares food menu and suggests new recipes;
- Applies neat and creative presentation for food display;
- Estimates expected food consumption and organizes preparation;
- Keeps records and accounts of food purchases;
- Prices food items and set budgets for events in collaboration with the responsible supervisor;
- Orders food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed;
- Stores food products in compliance with safety practices;
- Handles cooking and baking trainings for needed participants.
- Implements training sessions with community women
