Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide age-appropriate counseling for vulnerable children through the implementation of tools developed to ensure the best interest of the child.
- Provide age-appropriate qualitative psychosocial support in safe spaces (community centers) including emotional support group sessions and awareness sessions;
- Conduct outreach activities to identify and provide support to children through home visits, in close coordination with the street and working children program.
- The case worker will be responsible of ensuring preparing cases action plans and handling and updating all related forms ensuring accountability.
- To store and file CP data ensuring the confidentiality of the information collected and the services provided according to the minimum standard;
- To prepare and submit weekly, monthly and 3-month work plans in a timely manner upon officer’s validation;
- Receive referrals from different agencies, do action plan and appropriate response to each case;
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders and advocacy to address gaps in CP response services and referral protocols
- Communication with other agencies for referrals and service provision;
- Work closely with the GBV sector when a case involves child survivors, particularly when assessing best interest of the child;
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education degree: Bachelor/Degree in Social work, Counseling, psychology or other related field;
-Language skills: Fluent in Arabic and English (speaking/ reading/ writing).
-Field work experience is a must
- Ability to maintain confidentiality,
- Respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times;
- Commitment to serving children, do no harm and best interests of the child
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility, Flexibility in working overtime when needed;
- Computer skills: Very good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well
