Tasks & Responsibilities
- Draft programs’ annual objectives, strategies and plans, in consultation with the Managing Director
- Manage and hold programs’ budgets
- Assume total responsibility of the implementation of all programs’ plans (announcements, contracts, follow ups, reports, events, etc.)
- Oversee the implementation of the programs, in cooperation with the respective program coordinators, and provide advice in terms of priority setting and time management as needed
- Supervise, assign work to and hold regular meetings with programs’ coordinators, and ensure the status of the programs work is efficiently communicated to the Managing Director
- Evaluate coordinators’ performance and support their developing skills and building capacities through related trainings, in coordination with the HR
- Support, improve and build up strong relations and networks with all programs stakeholders, beneficiaries, partners or donors
- Collect and share data that can be used for strategic analysis which reflects on Culture Resource’s communication strategy and programs’ strategies
- Ensure that the programs updates are timely and professionally shared with the communication unit for circulation through Culture Resource channels
- Represent the programs, attend meetings and cultural events to maintain a strong visibility of Culture Resource in the public
- Stay abreast of all developments at the program implementation level, including field visits when needed
- Be knowledgeable and stay informed on developments in the culture sector as well as general socio-political changes, in the Arabic region
Education & Experience
- Bachelor degree or higher in arts, management or any related field
- A minimum of five years of management experience preferably in the cultural sector
- Fluency in Arabic and English (verbal and written), French is an additional asset
- Knowledge of the cultural scene in the Arab region and experience in cultural policy and training is a plus
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Experience in developing strategies and good understanding of monitoring and evaluation principles
- Experience in budgeting and confidence in handling financial reports and figures
- Ability to manage a team of at least 3 persons and to ensure a positive work environment for all
- Flexibility in adapting to unexpected circumstances, and capability to find solutions for challenges
- Willingness to travel and to work on weekends when needed
