Translation and Administrative Intern

Description:

Union for Relief and Development Associations is seeking a translation intern at its head office from June 8, 2019 until September 15, 2019.  The internship covers transportation fees for accepted candidates.

 

Responsibilities

  • Translate various types of documents (from Arabic to English and vice versa). Documents include blog posts, proposals, reports, website content, legal documents, policies, etc.

     

     

     

  • Edit and proofread documents in Arabic and English.

     

  • Do various administrative tasks, including research, data entry, etc.

 

Qualifications

  • University degree in English language and literature, translation or any related field.
  • Advanced capability to effectively communicate (reading and writing) in Arabic and English with special attention being paid to grammar and style.
  • Ability to concurrently work on multiple tasks in an effective manner.
  • Prior experience with a humanitarian non-governmental organization

     

Skills

  • Demonstrated fluency in Arabic and English is a MUST;
  • Detail-oriented
  • Work quickly individually and with others to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
