Accountabilities
- In cooperation with the Clinic Manager, assisting on a monthly basis with preparation and approval of order requests, ensuring they are completed in timely manner to prevent unnecessary orders in between. Following up on drug ruptures.
- Assisting with the collection of consumption from facility on at least a monthly basis and collecting data about number of patients. Following up the monitoring systems in place.
MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities
- Participating in the department-related pharmacy and medical equipment control and maintenance (quality and its functioning, storage conditions, follow-up of expired drugs inventories, stock takes of medicines and material at every team changeover ensuring no material is taken out of nursing area/wards without prior authorisation, etc.)
- Knowing, promoting, implementing and following up the universal hygiene standards/ precautions, bio-hazard prevention and infection control, security rules and other protocols and procedures in the medical premises and ensuring high standards of hygiene of his/her working environment. Respecting medical secrets and confidentiality at all times.
- In cooperation with the Clinic Manager, assisting in the supervision, management and control of the medical stock in the clinic in order to avoid ruptures, losses and gross overstock of drugs and other supplies and overseeing and monitoring its storage conditions.
- Ensuring the proper medical stock management at the dispensary level, this is by reporting the pre-rupture and nearly expired items to the clinic manager.
- Encode all the clinic medical stock movement on the pharmacy software ( stock in, stock out and inventory ), furthermore perform a continues monthly data correction if needed in case of discripancy.
Ensure applying the good dispensing practice ( GDP ) based on MSF standards
Requirements
Education
Qualified pharmacist (Proper license availability and order registration)
Experience
- Experience collaborating with local pharmacy systems (MoH and private) is an asset
- Demonstrable experience in supervising and training others in a team setting
Languages
- Arabic essential; English would be an asset
Knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel
