Data Manager

• Develop and implement procedures for effective data management.
• Manage overall project data including, collection, validation, cleaning, and ensuring accurate entry of complete project data.
• Ensure management of project data including regular database security activities such as storage and backups as well as logical consistency checks.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate information and data systems that could affect analytical results.
• Build the capacity of project staff on basic and advanced data management skills and assisting with statistical analysis.
• Supervise and partake in the implementation of regular/routine data quality audits.
• Assist with reports and ensure adherence to reporting deadlines.
• Provide technical guidance to other M&E or program staff in data management.
• Maintain updated data collection and reporting tools.
• Develop standard operating procedures and systems for collection, storage, and analysis of data.
• Create rules and procedures for data sharing.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in data management or analysis for large projects, preferably in the education sector.
• Ability to decipher and organize large amounts of data.
• An analytical mindset with superb communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, SPSS.
• Good working knowledge of USAID reporting.
• Ability to create basic dashboards and data visualizations connecting to external data sources like Excel to analyze data.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines under minimum supervision.
• Must be able to work within a cross-cultural setting, negotiate diplomatically, and function well under pressure.
• Ability to work hands-on, independently, and within a team, and function well under pressure.
• Willingness to travel to regions covered by the project.
