Inclusion Officer

The Inclusion Officer will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Identify and adopt the most effective teaching approaches for students with special educational needs;
  • Monitor teaching and learning activities to meet the needs of students with special educational needs;
  • Liaise with other schools to ensure continuity of support and learning when transferring students with special educational needs.
  • Plans activities or support measures that are specific to each student’s abilities, supports finding solution to remove barriers
  • Monitors the progress of the learners with special education needs and discusses with teachers and parents; collects data and maintains records of progress and development
  • Ensures the monthly report and bi-yearly narrative reports on Cases with special needs
  • Provides support and guidance to the families
  • Liaises with AVSI Case managers for identification of children in need, and for referral to next step in the pathway (formal education or another Non-formal opportunity)
  • Participates in Case managment and education Department meetings.
  • Participates in trainings as suggested
  • Undertake any other professional task as directed by the mananger
