The Programme Support Officer (Gender Based Violence Case Management Capacity Building) has the overall responsibility to build the technical capacity of community based organizations.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Support the management of partnerships and provide technical capacity building in line with DRC's Partnership and Capacity Building approaches and provide on the job coaching and mentoring to CBOs on GBV case management, and on other prevention and response activities.
- Support partners to set up a Gender Based Violence (GBV) case management program in line with the international Standards.
- Provide technical guidance, on the job training, coaching and mentoring to the partner’s staff on GBV minimum standards and Adolescent girl programs. Ensure that the partners staff are trained and provide coaching on PSS toolkits, approaches and curricula for female and male caregivers, adolescent boys and girls.
- Train and supervise the partner’s GBV caseworkers and ensure the quality provision of emotional support group sessions to women and girls at risk of or survivors of gender based violence in compliance with best-practice and DRC’s guidelines and ensure that they are sufficiently trained and supported to understand the expected outcome and purpose of the project and activities
- Produce monthly reports and support the Manager in submitting internal and donor reports as per schedule and support the partners in producing monthly reports as per schedule.
- Monthly monitor of the efficient and accurate updating of the GBV case management database by the CBO. In addition to supporting partners in rolling out the GBVIMS.
- Bi-weekly review of partners open cases using case supervision tools and develop systems for regular supervision of case management, in addition to auditing partners filing.
- Maintain an up-to-date service mapping of the service providers operating in the area and ensure that partner’s caseworkers are informed and updated about the available services.
- Activity participate in GBV Working groups, GBVIMS Working groups and other relevant sector working groups and coordination meetings. While advocating for the needs of vulnerable women, men and adolescents
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have a Bachelor in Law, Social work, Psychology, women’s studies, gender studies, counseling, or another related field; Or Master degree in gender studies, social work and/or psychology. Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
- At least 2 years of experience in NGO and humanitarian settings, specifically in GBV case management, PSS and/or CP-GBV sectors
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Gender Based Violence (GBV) case management and emotional support session including PSS curriculums.
- Experience in conducting training needs analysis/assessments and developing training programs for a broad range of audiences from different institutional levels
- Experience in Case management in general and GBV case management in particular
- Experience in working in capacity building and partnerships, and in team management.
- Fluency in Arabic
- Ability to communicate and write clearly in English

We offer
- Contract length: 12 months
- Band/Level: H2
- Basic Salary: 1750 USD (Depending on years of experience)
- Duty Station: North Area (Tripoli and Akkar)
- Start date: July 2019
