AMIDEAST/Lebanon is recruiting a Program Associate for the Educational and Scholarship Programs department that manages many scholarship opportunities and exchange programs between the U.S. and Lebanon.
Position Description
The Program Associate will be responsible for ensuring the success of all educational and scholarship programs and services by effectively providing administrative and logistical support to meet the department’s targets and objectives.
The Program Associate will handle various responsibilities and duties, which include:
-Assist the Department Manager to ensure that all programs are managed according to the project timeline, deadlines, and budget
-Promote scholarships and programs to reach people in all areas in Lebanon
-Handle the verification, data entry, and filing of applications received
-Assist with interview preparations, orientation sessions, and travel arrangements
-Notify students of program updates on their application status
-Participate in educational fairs and other department activities
-Promote the scholarship programs by ensuring that new programs and events are announced on AMIDEAST’s social media tools and within the office premises
-Manage the scholarship alumni database and/or other records
-Provide friendly customer service and address customer inquiries received via email, phone calls, or visits with accurate and proper information
Required Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business or other relevant field
-1-2 years of experience in an administrative or coordination role on educational programs
-Previous experience in and travel to the U.S. is preferred
-Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, and communication skills
-Excellent computer skills including MS Office; high proficiency in Excel is required
-High attention to detail
-Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
-Knowledge of and proficiency in use of social media tools is preferred
-Skills in photography and/or video-making is preferred
-Experience in alumni engagement activities is a plus
-Willingness to accommodate work schedule to students’ school schedules, including working on evenings or weekends when needed
-Lebanese citizenship
-Fluency in English and Arabic is a must
