ECE Co-Facilitators - Aakkar

Project Introduction:

As part of Al Fayhaa Association collaboration with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), an Early Childhood Education program will be implemented in Akkar Governorates that seeks to provide disadvantage children aged between 4 and 6 years old with critical pre-literacy, pre-numeracy and STEAM classes in child-friendly spaces. The project aims to enhance the knowledge and well-being of children through quality academic and recreational activities, preparing them for future enrolment/integration in formal classes.

Major Responsibilities of co-facilitators:

• Assist the facilitators in organizing and delivering courses
• develop facilitation and leadership skills as they work to accommodate the interests and needs of facilitators and students
• Participate in ongoing training sessions and activities related to the Early Childhood curricula as needed
• Provide attentive, high quality childcare
• Accompany children in buses and plan the children’s daily schedule/ agenda
• Accompany children to toilets
• Perform any other related tasks

Job Requirements

Academic Qualifications

• University degree or TS in Early Childhood Education, education or any relevant field (graduated or current)

Professional Experience

• An experience in teaching or education  (early childhood education is a plus)
• Experience in facilitating classroom activities
• Experience in working with vulnerable individuals

Skills

• Good communication skills with the ability to listen actively, understand and communicate with children and staff
• Strong organization and teamwork skills
• Approachable and has the ability to maintain confidentiality
• Good cultural awareness and interpersonal skills
• Must be capable in teaching in Arabic and either English or French (both spoken and written)
