Area Manager - Beirut Mount Lebanon

Responsibilities And Obligations:

  • Conduct meetings with the team   
  • Participate in the recruitment process of the whole team (1st interview and participate in the final decision)
  • Ensure the organizational induction of new employees
  • Ensure the coordination between both programs’ staff and approve the joint planning 
  • Strengthen the team dynamics through team building
  • Make sure that all forms are updated and submitted appropriately by all team members
  • Assess the needs for recruitment and coordinate with the concerned Program Manager, Project Manager and Human Resources department
  • Make sure that himaya’s premises have good standards in terms of safety, hygiene and are appropriate for the delivery of the services and are himaya branded
  • Supervise and preserve himaya’s asset within the area, as per the asset management policy
  • Create and maintain a relation with the community and religious leaders
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager regarding the details related to the target, partners, division of regions and others
  • Respond to the team’s urgent needs and interfere as needed

 

Inter-Relationships

 

  • All departments
  • Conduct field visits and meet with relevant partners in the region
  • Create a list of stakeholders in the region
  • Update the mapping regularly
  • Monitor the administrative work of the administrative coordinator
  • Validate the expenses based on the approved budget
  • Master himaya’s content of the services provided
  • Master introducing himaya and its work to partners
  • Represent himaya during official meetings and events
  • Promote the services of himaya in the region: awareness, capacity building, resilience and events
  • Coordinate with the program manager and the   Operational Director in the region for the provision of the services
  • Plan the implementation of the set activities in the region
  • Follow-up on the activities’ implementation and update monthly the project manager through regular reports 
  • Report on a monthly basis to the Operational Director
  • Coordinate with the Program Managers regarding the details related to the services

 

Educational Background, Experience And Needed Skills  

  • Master’s degree in NGO management or any social or humanitarian background
  • 5 years of experience in related field
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Excellent communication, organization and reporting skills
  • Conflict management skills
  • Set limits with work environment
  • Good listening skills
  • Tolerance, perseverance, creative, available
  • Psychological balance and good physical resistance
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Aware of all laws related to child protection, code of conduct and ethics
  • Fluent in Arabic and English and French
