Background
USAID’s “Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement” (QITABI-2) is a five-year program seeking to improve learning outcomes for all students in public primary schools in Lebanon. Its activity targets an estimated 200,000 girls and boys, including those who are registered in second shifts of public schools.
World Learning has an immediate vacancy for its Beirut-based “HR / Administrative Assistant” for the USAID-funded Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement (QITABI-2) in Lebanon. This position is for a Lebanese national.
Responsibilities
HR/Administrative Assistant, QITABI-2 responsibilities
- Provide daily administrative support to QITABI staff by scheduling appointments, providing logistical support, recording and disseminating meeting minutes, drafting correspondence, and coordinating travel arrangements;
- Assist and provide support to the Human Resources Manager;
- Support HR Unit by tracking and following up on staff requests and inquiries;
- Maintain proper and accurate filing of personnel documents;
- Assist in tracking and inspection of employees’ timesheets;
- Arranging applicant screenings, interviews and tests;
- Ensure that new recruits submit all the personal information & documents required;
- Work as part of the team and liaise with other departments to ensure effective communications across the organization;
- Support the HR Unit in organizing learning and induction sessions;
- Keep a high level of integrity and ethical behavior;
- Travel to the field offices when assigned;
- Perform additional tasks as needed and requested, including support of other World Learning projects
Requirements
- BA in a relevant discipline
- A minimum of 1-2 years of professional relative experience in HR and Administration
- Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently
- Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
- Must be dependable, able to follow instructions and respond to management direction
- Must have organizational and administrative skills and must be detail- oriented\
- Must have solid written and verbal communication skills
- Must have full professional proficiency in spoken and written English
- Must have the ability to work as part of a team
- Must have commitment to inclusive programming that encourages full participation of individuals regardless of gender, disability status, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or other marginalized status
- Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software
