Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) officer will be based within SIDC offices, Sin El Fil, and will coordinate with the Program Coordinator of the “The IMPACS Project - A project to for Improving MNCAH through Promoting Access to Comprehensive PHC Services” project that is currently being implemented by SIDC with the support of UNICEF. 

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the specific responsibilities will be as follows:

He/she will:

  • Establish and implement a monitoring and evaluation plan for the project.
  • Ensure timely implementation of the M&E plan and the indicators of the project.
  • Develop reporting templates and tools to be used by the coordinator that reflect progress in the implementation of the project activities and their outputs.  
  • Follow up with the field officers in the different areas to monitor progress of the frontline workers in reaching the target of adolescents and caregivers receiving key messages related to MNCAH services at PHCs.
  • Become familiar with the monitoring/tracking tool (MERA application) in agreement and coordination with the MoPH to track the number of the referred adolescents, caregivers and children under 3 years old to the MNCAH services at the PHCs.
  • Develop M&E tools for all trainings and workshops within the project, and analyze and report the results.
  • Collect data/reports from field officers on monthly and per activity basis and analyze them.  
  • Ensure data reported by is of adequate quality (including completeness, timeliness, and integrity).
  • Identify weak performances or delays in implementation and inform the project coordinator accordingly for timely action.
  • When necessary, coordinate and communicate with relevant stakeholders in all the targeted regions.
  • Conduct other tasks as requested by the project team and SIDC management.  

 

 

 

Qualifications:

Required

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation and/or related field.
  • Advanced University degree in Public Health, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or any other related field.
  • Prior experience in a non-profit or international organization, with health related topics.
  • Prior experience in data collection and analysis.
  • Prior experience working with SPSS, STATA, or any other statistical software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English. French is a plus.
