Mental Health Coordinator

OBJECTIVE:

The mental health coordinator coordinates the mental health activities in the different CL centers, contributes to the development of SOPs for the mental health services and assists in the development of Mental health staff training and development programs

DUTIES:

  • To conduct field visits to the different CL PHCCs and CL centers where mental health activities are conducted, in order to coordinate the activities and ensure that the documentation is being properly done; and to send side visit reports following each visit
  • To contribute to the development of guidelines and SOP’s for the mental health unit
  • To support the selection of indicators for each project
  • To review and coordinate the activities specialized in mental health under the different projects, and ensure their alignment to the projects indicators
  • To attend the meetings with the national mental health program and upon the department’s needs
  • To coordinate with the head of health department for any technical issues related to Mental health activities
  • To report on the monthly mental health indicators to the national mental health program at the Ministry of Public health
  • To assist in the development of training and development programs for all mental health staff

  • Speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques

  • Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization
  • Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization
  • Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities
  • Proficient in English, French and Arabic both written and oral

 

Computer Skills

  • Microsoft office – all applications

 

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • 5– 10 years of experience
