Outreach Worker

Specific responsibilities: 

  • Foster and maintain positive relationships, in coordination with relevant field staff, with local communities, NGOs, local authorities and other community groups.
  • Liaise with local community stakeholders, in coordination with Field coordinator and Networking officer, to build the organization acceptance, to facilitate smooth project implementation.
  • Identify and assess potential beneficiaries and inform their families about the consortium activities.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and data entry of beneficiary information and their progress.
  • Carry out field assessments to identify vulnerable communities, potential beneficiaries, areas for community-based activities etc.
  • Support local project visibility to raise awareness of activities and promote the success of activities being carried out in the local community.
  • Participate in project monitoring and evaluation by supporting the MEAL officer to develop field based MEAL tools and reporting systems; attend training on the use of MEAL tools and processes.
  • Contribute to weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting on project activity progress and project impact.
  • Ensure that all required documentation from outreaching fieldwork is prepared professionally and is properly filed.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive filing system including project documents, monitoring notes and photos.
  • Support the Project Communications Officer to collect human-interest stories/beneficiary interviews/case studies, including photographs.
  • Ensure that children, once assessed, are referred to the relevant CP and/or Education activities or added to the relevant waiting list.
  • Conduct continuous follow-up with families in the case of child absence or risk of drop out to ensure retention in activities.
