Educational method trainer of teachers

Contract duration: 6 man days

Work place: Tripoli, Lebanon

Payment: according to the budget rate

SEED is a non-profit nongovernmental organization working in Tripoli to support the education sector since 2016.

Since SEED together with People in Need Slovakia are implementing a project financially supported by SlovakAid under the tittle: ‘Education as a pathway to better living conditions for vulnerable children and youth from Lebanese and refugee communities in Tripoli’.

We are looking for an educational method trainer

Work description:

• Evaluates teachers capacity needs in areas of preschool education (Early Childhood Education) and assistance with homework (Homework Support)
• Prepares  and implements trainings for teachers based on the evaluation of deficiencies and necessary topics
• Evaluates knowledge of teachers after the training
• Actively provides guidance to teachers in their preparation and planning of lessons, monitors lessons
• Proposes recommendations for future capacity building of organizations focusing on concrete steps and methods useful in practice

Required educational level, qualification and skills:

• Graduate of higher education (eg. Master) in Education studies
• At least 2 year experience in leading position of building education capacities of NGO or state/ international institutions including preparation and/ or implementation of trainings for education workers.
• At least 2 year experience as a teacher in preschool education, elementary education or assisting with homework
• Completed trainings from Child Protection, children rights and psychosocial support
• Proven experience in evaluating capacity building
• Proven experiences in working with vulnerable children
• Knowledge in informal educational sector in Lebanon
• Fluency in Arabic, English/ French language
• Being able to adapt to cultural context and follow the vision, values and principles of SEED and People in Need Slovakia
