Information Officer

The Centre for Lebanese Studies is hiring an information officer who will be working on The Disability Hub project. It is currently in the process of building an online website which will serve as a platform for research and advocacy. The job position is open for researchers who are educated to masters’ level and who possess sufficient breadth or depth of knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within their own area. Priority is given to applicants with disabilities.

The researcher’s work will mainly entail desk reviews. As such, they will conduct literature reviews, analyse and synthesise data, and write summaries, articles, and blogs;

He/she will contribute to/assist in providing data and information related the various parts related to the website, as well as update the content as needed;

He/she can supervise undergraduate students working on the research project (maintaining records on assignment completion, acting as liaison/mediator between the undergraduate students and the faculty researcher);

He/she will liaise with the communications department on videos and infographics that will be included in the website;

He/she will liaise with the project manager on the content that will be posted;

He/she will be the point of contact with the various network partners and members;

He/she can attend project meetings and seminars and other meetings as necessary, summarize project results, and contribute to preparing progress reports for the senior researchers, PI and funding agency;

He/she will provide support to the team as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Master’s degree in a field of social sciences. 

3-4 years of relevant experience in a research environment.

Fluent in English and Arabic.

Knowledge in website content management.

Knowledge in graphic design is preferable.
