The Driver / Office Assistant is responsible for providing IOCC staff with transportation and logistics required to execute different projects across Lebanese territories.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
The primary responsibilities of the Driver / Office Assistant will be:
- Providing transportation and logistic support for IOCC staff in accordance with their job requirements, as per the schedule set by the Support Services Manager.
- Providing administrative support to office and field staff as needed.
- Maintaining IOCC vehicles in an appropriate condition to comply with IOCC vehicle policy.
- Reporting to the office during regular working hours and performing overtime work when needed. The Driver / Office Assistant hours of work must be flexible to cover after hours and weekends. Overtime work will be compensated in accordance with IOCC policies and procedures.
- Assisting the following departments: Finance, Administration, Procurement & Logistics, Programs.
- Delivering documents & materials to other partners
- Performing banking operations as assigned by the Finance Department
- Delivering and retrieving materials and equipment from / to warehouses and different field locations, as assigned by the Support Services Manager
- Maintaining vehicle log sheets in accordance with IOCC policies and procedures.
- Performing other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic understanding of English (oral & written) and fluency in Arabic
- Preferable to be familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc…)
- Good knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems.
- Competencies:
- Good communication skills; friendly and respectful relationship among staff and visitors.
- Ability to keep confidentiality for matters related to IOCC projects and staff
- Familiar with Lebanese areas (North, Bekaa, South, Beirut & Mount Lebanon)
- Held accountable against IOCC policies and standards
- Available to work after hours, weekends and on holidays as needed
- Good physical condition (ability to carry and lift boxes, load and unload vehicles etc....)
- Experience:
- Previous experience with an international NGO, and in a humanitarian field is an advantage
- Holder of a public driving license
- Working Conditions
In-country trips between IOCC office and field projects across the Lebanese territory.
