Finance Coordinator

Position Summary 

The Finance Coordinator will be responsible for the financial set up and systems within the Lebanon country office, according to Search’s standards, and to support all financial aspects of program / project implementation along with ensuring compliance of all processes with both Search and donors’ regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Assist in conducting internal audit assessment, and in the reconciliation for the balance sheet accounts, as well as the preparation of budgets for donors;
  •  Review payments and ensure compliant supporting documents with Search and Donor Policies;
  •  Support the finance department in developing new finance tools and templates, as well as in the  preparation of project audits;
  •  Forecasting and Reviewing Work plans with the program team;
  •  Handle routine financial queries;
  •  Ensure financial accounting is in compliance with SFCG policies and procedures and local legal requirements (taxes, social security, insurance where applicable);
  •  Prepare donor financial reports and any other financial management reports;
  •  Support the external auditor to ensure timely audit report statements;
  •  Cooperate with the Logistics & Administration-HR departments to ensure that all financial transactions are accurate & well documented;

 As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position-holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  •  Bachelor degree in Business field, Masters in Finance or Certificates in accounting or any other related field is a plus;
  •  Minimum of three years of related work experience;
  •  Strong knowledge of compliance regulations;
  •  Good knowledge of donor regulations regarding financial reporting;
  •  Dynamic team player with creative problem-solving skills, particularly in challenging situations;
  •  Spoken and written fluency in English and Arabic;
  •  Strong oral and written communications skills;
  •  Strong leadership, management skills, Cultural sensitivity and adaptability;
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel;
  •  Strong organizational skills and attention to-detail;
