Oxfam has been working in Lebanon since 1993. We provide humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people affected by conflict, and we promote economic development, promotion of good governance at a local and national level, and women’s rights through our work with our partners. Oxfam also works with local partners to contribute to the protection and empowerment of marginalised women and men.

 

Internship Description

Oxfam in Lebanon is recruiting a communications intern to support the Senior Media and Communications Officer in producing communications materials for the projects implemented in the North.

The role will include:

  1. Support in collecting stories from the North
  2. Attending events to take pictures and collect quotes
  3. Drafting social media posts for North based project
  4. Support in drafting content for communications material such as: leaflets, invitations, posters, etc.

 

Qualifications

  1. Good interpersonal skills
  2. Good writing skills in English
  3. Fluent in Arabic
  1. Understanding of the NGO sector and the working environment with refugees (desirable)
  2. Basic photography and editing skills is a plus
  3. Willing to travel to the field

 

Duration

3 months starting September, and for 3 days per week. The working days will be agreed on upon the events and the availability of the intern.
