Project Supervisor

Project’s context:

Composed of seven International organizations in Syria region, including four in Lebanon, the YOUTH RESOLVE YOUTH RESOLVE aims to strengthen youth resilience and empower youth as leading actors in post-conflict reconstruction in Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Turkey. 

In Lebanon, Islamic Relief Lebanon is working in four different aspects (Cash/Food for Work, Psychosocial Support, Active Learning, Social Stability and Rehabilitation of CBC) in Saida City – South Lebanon. 

 

Overall Responsibility

Project Supervisor will be responsible for assisting and providing supports to YOUTH RESOLVE consortium project in the implementation of activities and events.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for all aspects of the project’s daily management, including logistics, administration, community and beneficiaries liaison.
  2. Regularly review and update the project’s work plan.
  3. Ensure the project remains ‘on track’ to achieve the project work plan and objectives.
  4. Implement project activities and ensure the good quality and quantity of the project/s outcomes
  5. Identify, facilitate, coordinate and when necessary deliver targeted training to meet project objectives.
  6. Providing necessary support to Project Coordinator in arranging any meeting/ training/ seminar/ workshop, etc.
  7. Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods to remote areas of the projects or any other place directed by Project Coordinator
  8. Collects, reports information regarding the overall situation of the beneficiaries in general, and the projects targeted beneficiaries.
  9. Maintain regular written and oral reporting with Project Coordinator.
  10. Develop and maintain project records such as monthly reports, attendance sheets, and success stories.
  11. Regularly report to his/her direct supervisor about any difficulty met in Madad activities implementation.
  12. Submitting daily updates, weekly and monthly reports to the Project Coordinator on the targets achieved and the progress of the project activities agreed upon in the detailed work plans.
  13. Reports any breaches of neutrality, even if not true, to the Project Coordinator with a clear analysis and investigation of the breach.
  14. Prepare and share coordination meeting minutes and staff meeting minutes with the Project Coordinator and all staff involved
  15. Willingness to dedicate 100% of his/her working hours to the YOUTH RESOLVE consortium and providing accurate time sheet and performance report to MADAD Project Coordinator on weekly and monthly bases as per donor requirements.

 

Person Specification                                                                                                              

Experience / Education/Skills- Essential

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology Child Development or other related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relative experience, preferred with international NGOs.
  • knowledge of psychosocial support basic principles and PSS key messages to vulnerable children and caregivers
  • Strong communication, interpersonal & technical skills.

Ability To

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Read, comprehend and interpret written materials of moderate to complex difficulty.
  • Records management systems (both automated and paper files) to ensure accurate maintenance of files and ease of retrieval.
  • Word-processing, spreadsheet and database software programs related to job functions.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
