Responsibilities: (in bullet points)
1. Technical support to case management team (25%)
2. Ensure that GBV caseworkers provide GBV case management in compliance with best-practices, IASC GBV guidelines, inter-agency GBV SOPs, and that at all times caseworkers are safeguarding the safety and respect of the survivor, in addition to the confidentiality of his/her information and his/her right to access services without any discrimination;
3. Ensure that GBV case workers conduct emotional support group sessions with women at risk or survivors of SGBV in compliance with best-practice and guidelines;
4. Ensure that GBV case workers provide quality counselling sessions to women, men and girls at risk or survivors of gender based violence in compliance with best-practice and guidelines, including ensuring survivors and staff safety while conducting home visits for child spouses;
5. Provide age and gender appropriate and specialized technical guidance to GBV caseworkers on case management and psychosocial support to women, girls and survivors, including guidance on caring for child survivors.
6. Hold inter-agency case conference meetings for high-risk cases when needed.
7. Monthly auditing of filing procedures and Bi-weekly review of open cases using case supervision tools and develop systems for regular supervision of case management
8. Technical support to Adolescent Girls programme team (25%)
9. Provide technical guidance, on-the-job training, coaching and mentoring to the Female PSS Assistant, and Male PSS Assistant on DRC’s Adolescent Girls programme and GBV guiding principles, including technical guidance on empowering adolescent girls, engaging with adolescent boys, working with female caregivers and engaging with male caregivers;
10. Provide technical guidance, on-the-job coaching and mentoring to the AG team on the principles of psychosocial support, age and gender specific facilitation skills, learning and development principles for children and adults;
11. Ensure that activities are implemented in safe spaces that meet interagency standards;
12. Observe implemented activities and SGBV trainings for community members at least two days a week and providetechnical guidance on facilitation skills, GBV and PSS key messages andcommunication skills.
13. Trainings on SGBV and Protection (5%)
14. Supervise staff in their provision of trainings to people of concern and community members on SGBV guiding principles and basic concepts, and on the safe identification and referral of SGBV cases, in compliance with IASC GBV guidelines and GBV SOPs.
15. Staff supervision and capacity building (25%)
16. Supervise team members; hold weekly team meetings to discuss challenges and successes faced in implementation and bi-monthlyindividual feedback sessions with team members to provide guidance, constructive feedback and discuss opportunities for improvement;
17. In coordination with Program Manager, ensure effective time management, planning and implementation of programme activities; efficiently manage the time and schedule of team members in mobile and centre-based locations, including leave and holiday planning;
18. Support each team member to develop a weekly, monthly and yearly workplan. Update and follow-up on workplans regularly;
19. Ensure staff are sufficiently trained and supported to understand the expected outcome and purpose of project and activities, support team members in ethically collecting data and information for reporting and communication;
20. In coordination with DRC, ensure that team members have access to needed trainings, on-the-job coaching and shadowing;
21. Remain abreast of SOPs and best practices at the field, on the national and global level, and ensure effective dissemination to team members;
22. Train newly recruited case workers on the case management process, relevant SOPs and the data filing and storing procedures. Ensure proper training and coaching of newly recruited case workers prior to their deployment to the field;
23. Train newly recruited facilitators on DRC’s adolescent girls programme, ensure proper training and coaching prior to their deployment to the field;
24. In coordination with Program Manager, maintain positive work relationship within the team, and promote team-building efforts;
25. Support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and report on problems in the implementation of the program
26. Support the data analysis of case management data in a safe and ethical manner
27. Grant implementation and reporting (15%)
28. Support Program Manager in producing monthly reports and submitting internal and donor reports;
29. Act as GBVIMS focal point; Supervise the collection, storage, filing and analysis of GBV-related data through the use of the GBV information management system(GBVIMS and GBVIMS +), and compile/analyze data in the incident recorder in compliance with the information sharing protocol developed at the inter-agency level
30. In coordination with the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team, ensure the quality implementation of the grants’ MEL plan. Share the results and lessons learned in a timely fashion with the relevant parties;
31. With the support of the program manager; document gaps, bottlenecks and challenges in implementation and develop action plans to address these;
32. Monitor the progress of project targets against indicators on a weekly basis.
33. Coordination and representation (5%)
34. Develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, other international and local organisations, community leaders and service providers;
35. Support Program Manager in advocating for the needs of vulnerable women, men and adolescnets both internally and through coordination mechanisms through evidence-based advocacy;
36. Maintain an up-to-date service mapping of the service providers operating in the area of implementation and ensure that caseworkers and facilitators are
informed about available services;
37. Act as inter-agency focal point of the GBV case management hubs, receive and respond to referrals in a timely manner whilst prioritizing cases according to risk level. Provide feedback on referral status to referring parties when necessary;
38. In coordination with Program Manager, activity participate in GBV Working groups, GBVIMS Working groups and other relevant sector working groups and coordination meetings;
39. Immediately flag concerns around safety to the Program Manager throughout the case management process;
40. Ensure that informed consent is given at events where communication material is being collected (images, quotes etc.).
Other: Any other duty relating to the nature of the job
as directed by the Program Manager.
Experience and technical competencies: (include years of experience)
· At least 2 years of experience in counseling survivors of gender-basedviolence and providing GBV case management to individuals at risk of orsurvivors of GBV;
· At least 2 years of experience in working in the humanitarian sector and/orwith NGOs in Lebanon;
· Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times;
· Ability to provide technical support, trainings and supervision of GBV caseworkers;
· Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility;
· Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure,prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintainattention to detail;
· Flexibility in working overtime when needed
· Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel)
· Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well
· Fluency in Arabic and ability to communicate and write clearly in Englishare required
· Most be able to drive and have a driver licence
