Location Beirut, with 20% travel abroad

Reports to: Senior Project Officer

Job Summary:

As a member of the Emergency Response and Recovery team, you will monitor and report on all activities of the psychosocial support and education projects in support of Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your thorough and service-oriented approach will ensure that the projects consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.

Specific Requirements:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required in social science or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of work experience in supporting projects psychosocial support(PSS) and education in emergencies. Field experience in implementing education and PSS in emergencies projects for children and for an NGO would be a plus.
• Additional education may substitute for some experience.
• Knowledge in Child protection policies and procedures and child-centered techniques.
• Experience in participatory action planning and community engagement.
• Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred.
• Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Observation, active listening and analysis skills with ability to make sound judgment
