Driver (2) (Based in Zahle & Travel to Arsal)

Driving:

 

  • To drive at a safe and legal speed as requested by the Logistics, Security & Fleet Manager.
  • To wear seatbelt at all times.
  • To immediately notify line manager as well as local authorities (if applicable) of any accident in which the vehicle is involved.
  • Understand and follow all traffic rules and regulations.

 

General:

 

  • Primarily be in charge of transportation of the team to target areas.
  • Drive office vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel.
  • To complete the vehicle log book, ensure tools, spare parts, first aid kit & spare tires are kept in the vehicle and are in good condition.
  • Provide organized weekly checklist, reporting on movement activities & collected daily transportation data.
  • Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes and greasing.
  • Have a good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment.
  • To keep vehicle clean and road-worthy, refuel and ensure that the tank never falls below half tank capacity, as per the daily & weekly checks.
  • To make sure all necessary vehicle documents are present in the vehicle and up to date.
  • Ensure that all vehicles comply with the Minimum Operating Security Standards.
  • Follow all rules and regulations in relation to FPS management Planning and Coordinating Agency vehicles.
  • In charge of the safety of the team during the transportation.
  • To represent FPS in a respectful & professional manner and always act in accordance with FPS’ Ethic Code.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

 

  1. Deliverables: 
  •  Submit monthly timesheet at the end of the month.
  • Completing the vehicle logbook.
  • Submitting weekly checklist.  

 2. ​​​​​​​Qualifications & Competencies: 

  • No degree required. A high school certificate will be an asset.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in NGO work.
  • Experience working within Arsal is preferred.
  • Valid driving license and sound driving skills.
  • Preferably from Bekaa region.
  • Ability to work with a team as well as to work independently
  • Willing to travel to between Zahle & Arsal.
  • Fluent in Arabic
  • Basic knowledge in English
  • Basic understanding of technology such as mobile phones and google drive.
