Care international in Lebanon (CIL) is implementing a regional response to the Syrian Crisis to meet the immediate and most urgent needs of the women, men, boys and girls who have fled Syria. CARE International in Lebanon (CIL) is supporting local communities with their longer-term needs and basic rights through WASH, Shelter, Protection, and longer term economic development solutions and activities in collaboration with local partner organizations in the North, South, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon Governorates.
Working Conditions:
Contract for 4 nonconsecutive training days only
Duration of Contract:
1 Month (only 4 working days)

The direct supervisor reserves the right to adapt this job description at any time during employment according to needs.
Any extension of this contract is dependent on performance review and funding availability.
Proven Experience:
At least 3 years previous experience in reporting training and proposal writing preferably with an L/INGO
IT / Software / Skills:
Familiarity with MS Office software

Detailed Responsibilities & Tasks
- Develop training course modules by placing a particular focus on the: - Project Rationale - Project Overview - Project Design - Strategies for Winning a Proposal - Building Blocks of a Proposal - Submitting the Proposal - Proposal Review - Proposal and Report writing Best practices.
- Act as facilitator and guide during training sessions as well as to contribute actively to the exchange of views and practical experiences with participants;
- Train CARE staff on narrative and quantitative reporting
- Explain and train on Project design phases and methods including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation; writing, revising, and editing drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials.
- Teach technics for conducting Needs assessment, project design frameworks, problem statement, problem justification, project goals and objectives setting, project output and outcomes, project strategy and approaches and project implementation planning.
- Enhance the capacity of trainees to develop highly competitive project proposal for donor funded projects.
- Increase the ability of trainees to generate and compile high quality technical reports.
- Improve the trainees’ report writing skills
- Training sessions must incorporate interactive methods of learning through a mix of practical activities, theory, group works and case studies for better understanding of ordinary staff members who never developed any project proposals;
- Presentations should be delivered comprehensively laying stress on the all aspects of effective project proposal and reports writing, with focus on the latest developments and modern approaches used in other countries;
- Presentations should include practical experience and interaction to stimulate critical discussion and thinking.
The candidate is supposed to provide the outline and curriculum of the training during the Interview for evaluation.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or bachelor’s Degree in Business field or equivalent.
- At least 3 years previous experience in Project Management or coordination.
- A minimum of three years of demonstrated experience in related work in Narrative/Quantitative reporting on program implementation and results in INGOs.
- At least 3 years’ experience in writing grants proposals in Lebanon’s INGOs for international donors.
- Familiarity with Agricultural project is a plus.
- Good record keeping computer skills (MS Word and Excel).
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Deliverables
- Design training course materials (module, presentations, hand-outs, etc.);
- Draft and finalize detailed agenda of the training course including all practical sessions and exercises;
- Final report, which shall include the outcomes of the workshop and recommendations based on the participants feedback.
