Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement the project activities according to the approved proposal.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the project according to approved stated objectives, plans of action, budgets and record progress.
- Lead and supervise coordination with partners in local communities to plan, implement and monitor the project.
- The project officer shall oversee the work of staff and consultants on the project and report to the Executive Director.
- Organize regular follow-up and plan meetings with the team.
- Implement project activities in a timely manner ensuring good quality action and credible outcomes.
- Manage the budget planning and expenses according to the approved budget, and adopt the financial and administrative system necessary for the execution of the project.
- Develop and maintain proactive, positive and professional relationships with the partner organization, other NGOs, donors, politicians, key government officials, civil society groups, religious groups, media outlets, etc.
- Maintain regular written and oral reporting with the donor and SIDC Executive Director.
- Develop regular reports on project activities and finances.
- Develop and maintain project records such as databases, reports, meeting minutes, and records of decisions.
- Develop a lessons learned inventory.
- The project officer shall organize and attend all meetings and workshop within the project.
- Represent SIDC when requested and necessary.
- Perform other tasks as requested by SIDC.
