Job Summary
The Interim Finance Manager is responsible for assist in preparing payroll, undertaking bank reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and always ensuring supporting documentation is adequate.
Duties and Responsibilities
Cash Responsibilities
Supervision and training of cashier & FO
Review of tasks undertaken by cashier & FO prior to review by CFC
Review of payment documentation
Budgeting
Support budget holders to prepare and track their budgets as required
Support the CFC to prepare budgets and finance reports as required, including both donor budgets and budget revisions for submission to Dublin.
Donor Reports
Assist in the tracking of donor income payments
Preparation of donor finance reports
Remain aware of donor compliance issues affecting the grants awarded to Concern Worldwide
Reporting
Upload all journals to system, cost allocations, month-end processes,
Preparation of monthly Management accounts, balance sheet reconciliation
Drafting of variance analysis commentary for inclusion in FRP
Assisting CFC in HQ reporting.
Bank Reconciliation
Cashier & FO should upload the payments
Undertake bank and cash reconciliations on monthly/weekly basis and submit to CFC
Preparation of monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
Partners
Prepare the CLOFAT
Assist in training the partner to build their financial capacity, including donor compliance.
Review the documentation of Partners
Coding
Prepare the CoA for the new donors
Add new nominal codes to system as required
Recode transactions in consultation with programmes staff
Payroll :
In consultation with HR, prepare payroll calculation & payments (with supporting documents) for approval each month.
This will include maintaining a payroll system for national employees
Review and make timely payment of any applicable taxes in line with government / internal deadlines.
Adhere to the standards of conduct outlined in the Programme Participant Protection Policy and Concern Code of Conduct.
Adhere to a strict code of confidentiality in performance of duties.
Skills, Qualifications, Experience and Attitude Required
Degree level qualification in financial field from recognised institute
Minimum of five years of experience in bookkeeping or similar role, preferably for a non-profit entity.
Good communication skills in English and Arabic
Must be computer literate with a comprehensive knowledge of MS, Excel & accounts packages
High integrity and demonstrated ability to follow standards
Ability to work to deadlines
Meticulous and attention to detail
