Job Title: Program Coordinator (Focal Point)-North Bekaa

Tasks and Duties

  • Coordinating with local stakeholders, schools and universities for the implementation of drug prevention programs.
  • Recruiting schools and universities for the implementation of drug prevention programs.
  • Conducting awareness workshops on drug related topics in schools and universities.
  • Coordinating and monitoring the implementation of drug prevention programs in schools and universities.
  • Attending training workshops organized by Skoun.
  • Providing support and booster training sessions to teachers/educators implementing drug prevention programs.
  • Ensuring the effective implementation of the programs through class observations and co-lead sessions.
  • Delivering life skills’ lessons targeting young people.
  • Contributing to the development of educational and information materials.
  • Conducting data collection.
  • Preparing regular reports for the Prevention Manager on the work progress and implemented activities.

 

Education and Experience

Educational Background

University degree in Psychology, Public Health, or Education.

Languages

Fluent in English, and Arabic. Both languages are a must.

Related Work Experience

About 2 years of related experience, preferably in schools.

Working Period

The project is over 17 months (January 2020 to May 2021). Applicants must be ready to start in January 2020.

Other details

Working hours: 5 hours per day (9am to 2pm; Monday to Friday)

Salary: 1000USD (A deduction of 7.5% will apply for taxes)

Must have a car (The candidate must be ready to use his/her own car for the field work). Transportation between schools and universities are paid separately based on a transportation mileage sheet and attendance sheets.
