OBJECTIVE:
The Outreach Volunteer (OV) Officer is responsible for smoothly implementing of the education project and activities, ensuring community mobilization and resource management, and providing support, team management and capacity building to the OVs.
DUTIES:
- Identify and recruit qualified Outreach Volunteers
- Ensure adequate capacity building plan for OVs
- Supervise and evaluate both of the OV team and activities on the field
- Contribute in preparing relevant documents (including brochures, information notes, information board updates, certificates, contracts, payments, templates) for target communities
- Organize and conduct the community group meetings: OVs (outreach volunteers) meetings and trainings twice per month in collaboration with the project team and the donor
- Monitor tasks and referrals of the OVs
- Provide awareness and capacity building sessions for the OVs in order to guide them on how to disseminate information in a reliable and timely manner
- Participate and support in the planning of the education activities including focus groups, awareness sessions, trainings
- Providing timely and detailed reporting of project activities (OV – Officer / Officer – Donor) and internally
- Participate in coordinating meetings with national and international institutions and education working group where appropriate and collaborate with partners and other agencies when required
- Compile and analyze the outcome of the project monitoring and evaluate data
- Contribute to establishing and implementing operational work plans, setting clear targets and planning for ongoing project’s activities
- Contribute in ongoing field assessments and data collection as required
- Conduct regular field visits in order to ensure that the project is being implemented effectively
- Ensure that data is accurately collected on a daily/weekly and monthly basis
- Monitor the execution of projects on the field and provide staff with the support and guidance to complete the assigned tasks
- Provide the Project Coordinator with timely (on a weekly/monthly basis) and detailed reports of project activities
- Receive and accompany donors during field visits

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
- 3 to 6 years of experience preferably in Management/Community Mobilization
- Experience with NGOs working with Refugees and education programs
