WASH Monitor

SUMMARY

The WASH Monitor will be responsible for assisting Sawa and specifically support the HP team and Engineer with the overall field monitoring, field management and report of water, sanitation and hygiene activities in the project sites, with a special focus on water trucking and desludging activities, in accordance to the allocated resources and timeframe.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assist, monitor and supervise all WASH operation related activities implemented in the field;
• Prepare accurate planning for water trucking and desludging, follow up the deliveries of services through different monitoring activities and prepare detailed reports on the provided services.
• Control and supervise on daily base the execution of works and provision of services in the field and report to WASH manager;
• Collect, analyze and interpret all technical data concerning water trucking and desludging in the field to prepare weekly logbooks as required;
• Liaise and coordinate all the activities with the community representatives, the beneficiaries and other agencies’ representatives engaged in the WASH sector across the project sites;
• Submit report on the monitored activities on a weekly and monthly base;
• Perform other related duties upon request to support the project team and the project implementation process;
• Distribution quality management;
• Follow up on distribution of water tanks
• Collection of water sample water samples
• Installing and implementation of barcodes on tanks and latrines
• Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager

EDUCATION

Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience demonstrable competence and experience in WASH. Demonstrable understanding of WASH services delivery in emergency, with a special focus on Hygiene Promotion and WASH services;

SKILLS

• Excellent Computer literacy (Word, Excel)
• Knowledge in ODK system is an asset
• Excellent Reporting skills
•  Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Excellent ability to manage timelines and meet deadlines
• Good written and oral communication skills and English and Arabic.
• Good track record of managing;

EMPLOYEMENT CONDITIONS

• Contract duration: 12 months full-time with possibility to renew;
• Required Starting Date: January 2020;
