Project summary

The Lebanese Developers is implementing a project in the region of Nahr el Joz to support eco-tourism and income generation activities in the area, in collaboration with the Koura and Batroun Union of Municipalities and funded by GIZ Urban Development Programme for deprived Areas in North Lebanon (UDP-NL).

The overall goal of this project is to promote eco-tourism in the Nahr el Joz area with the aim to enhance the local business development.

The project will be implemented in the frame of a Cash for Work (CfW) intervention. 

 

Job Purpose

The Project Assistant is supposed to assist the project manager in the execution of the management plan for Nahr el Joz’s project. She will support the day to day Cash For Work team activities within the Mill's project.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the planning & development of the project.
  • Carry out daily operational tasks in an effective & timely manner.
  • Study the ecological, cultural & historical significance of Nahr el Joz’s trail area in order to prepare reports, informational & promotional materials.
  • Share ecotourism related knowledge & skills amongst the project staff.
  • Facilitate communication between management & field staff.
  • Track & directly report project status updates to project manager.
  • Organize, file & maintain all current project documents.
  • Schedule meetings, phone calls, and site visits.
  • Execute data entry of info and mainly the CFW beneficiaries' daily attendance.
  • Assist the project officer in ensuring CFW beneficiaries on a daily basis.
  • Help create & adhere to project time-line & calendar.
  • Keep and update office equipment’s inventory list
  • Participate in the preparation of files for Audit Report
  • Type documents, reports and correspondence, support the staff in the preparation of supporting documents (purchase quotation, invoice template, etc)
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies
  • Ensure office equipment is properly maintained and serviced
  • Keep the Health and Safety policies updated and in process.
  • Update the staff files and keeping a record for all needed documents.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Business/Public administration or related fields
  • Minimum of 2-3 years professional experience in office management and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Highly motivated, self-sufficient, well-organized
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Accuracy, Reliability and Teamwork Spirit
  • Proficiency in written and spoken French or English
  • Resourceful and dynamic
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, word and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic
