I. INTRODUCTION
Project Background Information
The Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) is a Lebanese NGO registered at the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities under no. 1186 on 18 June 2014. LRI is managing several projects among which a project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) aiming at improving livelihoods in vulnerable communities through the implementation of reforestation and forest management activities.
The project is operated by LRI’s offices in Jdeideh.
II. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
LRI seeks a part-time Field Coordinator for the project for the period of 12 months from February 1, 2020 till January 31, 2021. The Field Coordinator will help the team ensure smooth work progress and compliance with project requirements.
The Data Collection Officer is expected to perform the following duties:
- Ensuring the timely implementation and follow up of the Agroforestry designs In Rashaiya sites;
- Collecting workers sheets and following up on workers payments;
- Organizing training sessions for Agroforestry training topics;
- Following up on the experiments monitoring, tracking and collecting data;
- Supporting the Agroforestry component in technical tasks related to Agroforestry.
III. REQUIREMENTS
The Field Coordinator should possess the following competencies, skills, and experience:
- Master’s degree in Agriculture Engineering, Landscape Management or any related field;
- Previous experience in field coordination;
- Previous experience and knowledge in Agroforestry is preferable.
