Inclusion and disability rights advocacy Trainer

SUMMARY

This activity will engage Sawa team in an inclusion society.  This activity component corresponds directly with human right strategic goal of enhancing persons with disabilities’ rights to inclusion, and insuring their participation in all aspects of society. Pursuing such activities enhances the organization’s supporting mechanism for rights of persons with disabilities, thus protecting them of any sort of violation.

The trainer will be responsible for completing 12 days training workshops around inclusion and disability rights skills for the staff of the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES, MAIN DUTIES AND REPORTING:
  1. Establish and conduct a community assessment tool and analysis
  2. Establish and conduct children assessment tool and analysis for children with disabilities
  3. Conduct the assessment and analysis
  4. Establish and conduct assessment tool for Parents of children with disabilities
  5. Establish New M&E Tools (Registration, Trend, consent form: activity, picture and transposition, observation toolkit, pre and posttest …...).
  6. Conduct training depend on the need of the staff
  7. Monitoring and Conduct the activities on-the-job coaching
  8. Identifying the needs, challenges, and opportunities of the staff
  9. Prepare the relevant training documents.
  10. Coordinate with SAWA representatives regarding this training

Project Manager

EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND:

Inclusion and disability rights advocacy training will be conducted by a Trainer having the following requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor level university education
  • Proven experience in training and curriculum development
  • Knowledge of questions related to inclusion and disability rights advocacy in Lebanon
  • Familiar with peace building and peacekeeping training/capacity building activities
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Arabic. French would be a strong asset.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Good capacity to interact with members of the team and different communities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
  • Ability to work on the street supporting psychosocial activities for street and working children;
EMPLOYEMENT CONDITIONS
  • Contract duration: 12 days from September 2019 to January 2020;
  • Required Starting Date: September 2019;
