CARE International in Lebanon (CiL) is part of a regional response to the Syrian Crisis to meet the immediate and most urgent needs of those who have fled Syria and provide support to local vulnerable host populations. CARE’s programs are also designed to meet longer term needs. Working with partners in WASH, Shelter, Protection, Livelihoods and economic opportunities in the North, South, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon Governorates CARE has a special emphasis on working with women and girls.

CARE is implementing a capacity building and livelihood community-based agriculture project that seeks to address critical capacity gaps along targeted value chains at both the individual, communal and institutional levels This position is responsible for the outreach, implementation, follow up, and quality maintenance for the Agricultural Training activities, GHP/GMP, Food processing trainings, and GMP according to donor’s request with the support of the team.

Education & Certification:

BS in business, social sciences, or related majors

Minimum Education Level:

Bachelor degree

Proven Experience:

• 2 years experience with at least 1 year experience working with an INGO, UN, local organizations and/or donor community in the domain of Livelihoods.

• Familiarity with data collection and analysis

• Having experience in the training and educational field

IT / Software / Technical Skills:

Advanced experience in MS Office software, such as Excel

Detailed Responsibilities & Tasks

Under the supervision of the Business Development Specialist and in close collaboration with project manager and team, the trainer will:

  • Deliver the Financial Literacy training for local partners and vulnerable beneficiaries in the North and the South;
  • Performing a literature review of curricula pertaining to financial literacy, education and inclusion in rural areas in general and in agriculture in particular;
  • Support in preparing interactive training curricula including exercises and case studies
  • Provides supervision of participants during training by tracking attendance, addressing inappropriate behavior, and documenting performance and development needs
  • Communicate sessions’ progress to line manager and maintain participants’ attendance records
  • Lead in the identification of beneficiary SMEs in the targeted areas and ensure the high quality of the data collected during the assessments and baseline.
  • Conducting in introduction training sessions as needed in Arabic/English to partners’ trainers.
  • Manages training environment to ensure a quality learning experience
  • The line manager has the right to assign other tasks
