REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

Architectural woodwork constructions and customized furniture for learning spaces in Lebanese public schools

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is currently implementing the project Sustainable Facility management in public schools (SUFA) in Lebanon. As part of this project GIZ intends to award a contract for companies specialized in woodwork (design, production, installation and training on maintenance of school furniture) in Lebanon. The scope of work includes:

1. To plan, develop and produce strong, durable, child-friendly, ergonomic, simple to build, low-cost innovative furniture design models.
2. To plan, develop, install and execute customized interior works using guidelines for laboratories, libraries, multi-purpose rooms, etc. The executed works will be supervised by an assigned Consultant.
3. To deliver, train school staff (up to 50 personnel) and maintain (up to 12 months) the designed learning spaces & furniture.

Tender procedure from invitation to tender until signing of contract is expected to take place between March 2020 and July 2020.

To qualify for consideration in the tender procedure, interested companies are required to submit the following information and documents for eligibility assessment:

1. Official letter expressing interest
2. EOI questionnaire
3. Company details including full company name, full address, phone and email
4. Copy of company registration certificate
5. Company profile including number of employees (permanent / temporary in total) with at least 3 number of managerial and design staff and 5 skilled labor/technicians qualified to perform the works
6. References of at least three projects of similar nature as specified above and between 10,000 $ to 50,000 $ (performed within the last five (5) years)
7. Evidence of ownership of equipment and machinery necessary to execute the works or evidence of possibility to hire the same
8. At least 2  previous experiences with institutions or organizations working in the field of youth educational and public spaces
9. Proven experience in providing technical training measures (for example: maintenance of school furniture)
