Data Officer

International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. In Lebanon, International Medical Corps works to ensure access to quality health services for Syrian refugees, vulnerable Lebanese and other persons of concern by supporting a network of about 50 primary healthcare clinics and dispensaries across the country.

In order to monitor the performance and effectiveness of the programs, and to improve the delivery of future projects, the MEAL department is responsible for designing and implementing the M&E activities of the project; monitoring the project activities on a regular basis, preparing reports on project progress, ensuring accountability and collection & analysis of different data in relation to the project activities.

The Data Officer is responsible to manage all incoming data files and review the data for inconsistencies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage all incoming data files on tenants and individual properties
  • Review data for inconsistencies that may skew analytical results
  • Maintain database and conduct routine maintenance to ensure data integrity
  • Generate and review documentations for all database changes and refinements
  • Provide recommendations for software, hardware and data storage upgrades
  • Develop on PHENICS (MOPH health information system) modules on the database level
  • Enhance existing PHENICS modules based on the requirements of the project teams
  • Provide technical support and maintain the layout of the database
  • Assist in the integration of new clinical packages in both the electronic medical record module and the financial module.
  • Other tasks as required

Competency:

  • Knowledge and experience in Linux configuration , SQL database and Oracle database in addition to Microsoft ( excel access and publisher )

Public health Knowledge is a plus.
