Position responsibilities
Provides managerial and technical oversight implementation of programmatic activities, including non-revenue water management, capacity building for the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems, performance- based contracting, and private investment coordination, and other technical assistance activities. The DCOP provides management oversight of water, sanitation and conservation long and short-term specialists. Responsible for the development and implementation of contributing annual work plan components, budget allocations and expenditure analyses. S/he is responsible for providing input to evaluation planning and implementation, audits, and development and outreach communications. Reports to the Chief of Party.
Qualifications
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience on projects in a development context in Lebanon and or the Middle East;
- Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in managing projects for water and wastewater infrastructure, economic growth, and conservation of water resources in Lebanon;
- Experience working with the four regional water establishments and MoEW preferred;
- Supervisory and subcontract management experience involving complex programs required;
- Experience leading international donor-supported programs of relevant size and complexity, USAID experience required;
- Fluency in Arabic and professional proficiency in English is required.
