English Trainer

Main Role and Responsibilities

• Deliver English lessons to a range of different age groups
• Set a curriculum and lesson plans and upon the needs; the curricula should include detailed agenda of the lessons with the learning objectives of each one;
• Assess the level of English proficiency among participants;
• Follow up the attendance of the participants and ensure their full participation and providing feedback;
• Conduct a pre and post-test at the beginning and at the end of each course;
• Prepare class rooms and courses materials, homework assignments and handouts;
• Speak, read, and write fluently in at least two languages, including English and one or more others
• Render spoken messages accurately, quickly, and clearly

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Education: First University degree in English education, translation, English literature or any related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in preparing curricula and delivering English courses. Experience in NGOs and in Freelance English courses would be a plus.
• Languages: Advanced level in both oral and written communication in English. French is a plus.

• Report to your line manager any discrepancies of SIF’s policies among the team or partners
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
