MMU Driver

 

MMU- Tripoli Zgharta is a three-year project implemented by the CWB. It aims to increase access to primary and secondary health care services for the vulnerable Lebanese and Syrian refugees in Tripoli and the districts of Zgharta and Danniyeh. The project will operate one MMU offering medical inspections, free of charge medicines, referrals to healthcare centers, and psychosocial support. The unit will operate in 10 different locations in the targeted region over a specific routing plan. The latter takes into consideration the intensity of needs as well as other stakeholder services to avoid overlapping and increase coverage.

 

Under this project, CWB is seeking to recruit a MMU driver having an extensive experience in driving and maintaining mobile assets. He/she directly reports to the MMU coordinator.

 

Objectives


The objective of the MMU driver position is to make sure the mobile car asset is properly maintained and protected to help the team deliver the best services for the most vulnerable.

 

Scope of Work

 

The MMU driver will be primarily responsible of the following activities:

 

  • To drive the MMU to the site operation
  • To complete, on daily basis, the mileage of the MMU
  • To keep the MMU and the transportation vehicle very clean and sanitized on daily basis
  • To ensure the COVID-19 safety measures are applied (social distancing between the patients, temperature, sanitizing, etc.)
  • To prepare a yearly calendar for insurance renewal, road taxes, maintenance… of the MMU
  • To prepare the MMU for the site operation (turning on the generator, preparing the site location: chairs….)
  • To ensure that the MMU is in functioning order, fuel and supplies
  • To ensure the safety of the MMU vehicle
  • To assist the medical team during the operation in organizing the patients’ flow (distribution of numbers…).

 

Essential Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Toute marque driving license (sign D)
  • Proven work experience as a driver in humanitarian projects
  • An ability to develop and interpret schedules and flowcharts
  • Strong organizational skills, including time-management
  • Knowledge and exposure to the social and cultural values of the region
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

 

Main Deliverables/Expected achievements:

 

  • Daily mileage sheets
  • Car maintenance documents

 

Period

 

  • 12 months with possible extension (Aug 2020-Aug 2021)
