Distance Learning in Emergencies Consultant

Technical responsibilities:

• Conduct an overall review on the distance learning approaches implemented in Lebanon to ensure alignment of RI’s activities with MEHE’s approach and national strategy
• Identify the monetary assistance value per child for e-learning: Study the Economic expenditures associated with education costs and identifying an average expenditure amount associated per child for online learning expenses
• Propose trainings to build capacity of the program team on remote learning (one day)
• Develop assessments in coordination with the MEAL department to measure the impact on learning outcomes, feasibility and efficiency of the distance learning
• Develop monitoring tools for distance learning and to measure student commitment and participation in the e-learning activities (Quantitative and Qualitative)
• Survey students to measure their satisfaction in regard to the online learning program/curriculum (English and Math)
• Conduct a lessons learned event focusing on the online learning
• Provide recommendations to improve the distance learning approach
• Meet and coordinate with different online learning software providers. Assess, evaluate and advice for an online learning software provider in coordination with the Senior Management Team (SMT)
• Submit a final consultancy report

Provide recommendations on:

• Resolutions for identified gaps
• Best practices ches related to the e-learning implementation by sharing learning experiences
• Efficient data collection and archiving for e-learning in particular
• Methodologies and new approaches for improving CFE program implementation
• Propose an online learning software provider that could fit the requirement of the project

Reporting:

Submit the final report for the consultancy conducted with final deliverables.
