Tech Lead – ACT SMART INNOVATION HUB STARTUPS

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

The Accelerator Program's mission is to nurture and grow disruptive ideas, proof of concepts, and prototypes that share three common characteristics:

1. A disruptive scientific or technological focus in the agro-food & Clean-tech sector.
2. The possibility to scale beyond the local market
3. The potential to create sustainable job opportunities locally

The Accelerator Program seeks a Tech Lead to deliver the following requirements:

• Tech lead will be working closely with the startups to ensure product creation, extension, and scalability
• The Tech Lead will be working with the startups across the three phases, POC, MVP and Product creation
• In phase 1, the tech lead will oversee the POC concept during the design sprint and gives the input on the solution feasibility, risks, and architecture.
• During the same phase, the tech lead will be responsible for the POC outcome if it is related to software/hardware and will work closely with both the Cleantech and agro-food specialist for domain implementations
• The tech lead will also jump into meeting startups that have questions about their solution feasibility and implementation while connecting them to tech vendors (hardware and/or software)
• The tech lead needs to represent Berytech’s culture while working with startups and collaborate closely with the specialists and the accelerator manager
• The tech lead needs to document and communicate the outcomes and findings to the accelerator manager by filling forms set by the later
• The tech lead needs to provide alternative cheap solutions for the startups since they only have a limited amount of money in that phase

• Experienced product manager with 5 years of experience in product ideation stages, discovery, functionality, and features
• Higher education degree in a technical field. Field of study can include Technology and Engineering, with preference to candidates with exposure to Agri-food and Cleantech industries
• Knowledgeable of various hardware/ software product development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum and others
• Experienced working with Project Management tools
• Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and taking decisive action
• Natural leadership skills and highly collaborative team-player who can quickly build trust
• Effective communicator with any audience in an organized, professional manner.
• Creative problem-solver with thorough attention to detail.
• Desire to deeply understand and empathize with our users.
