The GEO coordination officer will be responsible for the following functions:
1/ Deployment and Establishment of Guidance and Employment Offices
- Establish a relationship of support and trust with the partner schools and GEO officers
- Train GEO officers in the different activities to be carried out: student orientation, management of calls for job vacancies and placement of graduates, business skills sessions, visits to companies and academic schools, etc.
- Organize GEO training sessions and creating the necessary tools for these courses.
- Through regular and frequent field visits, accompany and coach the GEOs' officers during the preparation and implementation of the office's activities.
- Insure throughout the year the implementation of the requested activities per GEO
- Write a report after each visit to the partner schools, mentioning the positive points, points for improvement and actions proposed to help the BOEs improve their activities.
- To regularly collect information about the activities of the GEOs and to analyze this information. Based on the data collected, prepare a synthesis of the activity indicators of each GEO.
- Propose improvements to the activities and solutions to the problems faced by the GEOs.
- Prepare a monthly planning of its monitoring activities of the GEOs and ensure its implementation and execution.
2/ Assessment and studies
- Realize tracer studies and surveys to identify trends and student needs
- Together with the members of the GET team, construct the questionnaire for the annual impact study, carry out the study and the collection of information through telephone calls or face-to-face meetings and participate in the drafting of the impact study report.
- Assist the GEOs officers in conducting labor market assessments to identify needed skills and potential existing gaps
- Assess the GEOs needs in their capacity and skills development and organize trainings accordingly
- Analyze and write the narrative report of all collected data and interprets and synthesizes data to lead appropriate improvements
3/ Orientation and Promotion Events
Forum:
- Prepare and organize the forum relying on the various in-house expertise
- Identify and solicit the most relevant partners
- Ensure the control of expenses related to the organization of the forum
- Write the final narrative report: background, description of implementation, lessons learned and recommendations
Others:
- Co-manage multiple orientation and guidance events in/outside schools (ex. Career week, orientation day, forums…) while monitoring, measuring and reporting on progress to ensure created tools are delivered with the highest level of quality and innovation and response to the students’ needs.
- Assist in the video and media campaign preparation and execution
- Assist the GEOs in increasing their visibility inside and outside their schools
4/ Capitalization
- Coordinate, create and maintain a GEO support guide, managing materials and documentation.
- Assist in writing the guidance and orientation policy and guidelines
- Assist in setting the GEO deployment strategy all over Lebanon
5/ Transversal tasks
- Coordinate with the online orientation experience developer to conduct trainings of trainers and supervise the quality of the trainings
- Participate in the GET team meetings.
- Assume additional responsibilities as required.
PROFILE
Education: Higher education (bachelor or master)
Experience: 1 to 3 years, whether in the private, public or in a civil society organization
- Demonstrated success working with instructors and students from a wide range of academic cultures and disciplines whether in the private, public schools
- Previous experience of project management preferably in the social domain
Skills:
- Proficiency in the Arabic language (oral / written) mandatory
- Very good writing skills in English and / or in French
- Experience in conducting trainings
- Excellent computer (Microsoft office) and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and determine effective business and alternative solutions.
- Strong communication and empowerment skills
